“Wheels and Engines of Digital Futures
for Sustainable Communities”
About Wezesha Africa
Wezesha Africa is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with operations in Homa Bay and other underserved communities. Wezesha Africa exists to bridge the digital divide by providing access to computer education and digital skills training to communities and schools in urban slums and rural areas. Wezesha Africa has a goal to ensure that every learner regardless of background can participate in the digital economy, contribute to sustainable development, and build a better future.
At the heart of Wezesha Africa is the Community Connector Model which is an innovative approach that connects communities, empowers minds, and shapes a sustainable digital future. Through the model, learning materials and computers are prepared, charged at the digital hubs and delivered by motorbikes to partner schools.
Our initiatives extend beyond technology as we integrate environmental sustainability into all we do through low-carbon, eco-conscious practices such as green innovation and tree adoption campaigns for every learner to empower communities to protect the planet while shaping their futures.
