The vision for Wezesha Africa emerged from witnessing the profound challenges faced by rural communities and urban slum residents across Kenya. Founded in 2020 by Nancy Awuor, Wezesha Africa was born out of the recognition that sustainable development requires a holistic approach that addresses education, health, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability simultaneously.

What started as a grassroots initiative to bridge the digital divide in rural schools has evolved into a comprehensive development organization serving thousands of community members. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: that every community possesses the inherent strength and wisdom to transform itself when provided with the right tools, resources, and support.

Over the years, we have learned that true empowerment comes not from imposing external solutions, but from working alongside communities to identify their priorities, strengthen their capacities, and amplify their voices. This community-centered approach has become the cornerstone of everything we do.

Today, Wezesha Africa stands as a testament to the power of collective action and the potential that exists within every community. We continue to grow and evolve, always guided by the voices and needs of the communities we serve.
