Computers on a Bike Program
This is an innovative computer training program by Wezesha Africa that brings technology education using motorbikes directly to schools located in urban slums and rural communities that lack access to computers. Through this initiative, Wezesha Africa offers comprehensive computer literacy training covering basic skills, internet navigation, and digital communication to bridge the digital divide. Our trained instructors travel to schools and communities with fully charged laptops on a motorbike. These laptops can be quickly set up in classrooms, community centers, or outdoor spaces to provide hands-on computer training.
The use of motorbikes is motivated by the fact that they can be used to reach remote schools which may not have good roads and access to electricity. Additionally, they are an affordable option to easily reach many schools.
The hub and spoke approach where our instructors prepare and fully charge laptops before dispatch to schools allows Wezesha Africa to reach many students and communities with fewer laptops.
Edu-Sponsorship Program
The Edu-Sponsor Program provides comprehensive educational support to orphans and vulnerable children, ensuring that economic barriers do not prevent access to quality education. This holistic program addresses not only mentorship and school fees but also the broader support needs of vulnerable learners.
Edu-Infrastructure Program
Our school infrastructure program works with communities to improve educational facilities and create conducive learning environments.
Eco-Empowerment Program
Wezesha Africa uses this program as a hub for economic empowerment and business development in rural communities. Through this program we provide training facilities, business incubation services, market linkages, mentorship, and ongoing support for women, entrepreneurs and small business owners to build sustainable livelihoods.
Recognizing the particular challenges facing young people, Wezesha Africa provides specialized programs focused on youth employment, career guidance, and leadership development. Our programs help young people transition from education to meaningful work.
Enviro-Sustainability Program
Wezesha Africa is keen on promoting climate resilience and ecosystem restoration by training farmers, women and youth on climatic-smart practices, establishing community tree nurseries, and reforestation programs.
